The Wedding Dress.

I always had ideas of what i wanted with a wedding dress. but I never knew the exact style I wanted. Well, I attended the bridal faire in September up at USU with my mother and her friend. I already knew that i wanted my dress custom made and that nobody there would have what I wanted. Well, my mother and I decided since I had never gone wedding dress shopping, that I should! There was no plan to buy a dress! I simply wanted the experience! So after the bridal faire, we headed over to the crowded dress boutique, Petals and Promises! They were having a bridal faire sale and there were mothers and their daughters and friends everywhere. Well luckily, the  consultant I got was the owner! She was so so nice and she knew about fashion! phew! some of them don't... Well I tried on so many dresses so here are a few!

I really liked this one! but it came down to how I was going to make it modest and fashionable!

I might not look like I was in love with this one. Oh wait, I wasn't.

I really really liked this one too!! but how would we make it modest, while keeping it gorgeous!!?

Too much going on. How would I make it work??

no thank you.

Ok here is the one I picked!!!!

Yes I do understand it is going to need some editing!! THis is the picture I found online of the how I want to redo the top of the dress! I really wanted an old-fashioned lace dress. and Since the wedding will be in March, I wanted to stay warm!!

but of course, we will make the "V" a little more modest!  I am so excited!!

and here is a picture of my ring!! Lots better looking in person!

We are engaged!

The first time we met... I was invited over to make "sushi" with some of his friends. After having a go in the kitchen, I wandered into the living room to find Alan. haha so funny when i think about this! Alan's hand was pretty broken from a recent skiing mishap and his left hand was definitely out of commission! Well, he wasn't going to let that stop him. kinda. So there he was in the living room with a guitar in his hand. He had been trying to play a song on guitar hero. (you must have two workable hands to do this.) i looked on the screen and it said SONG FAILED. 11 % PERCENT COMPLETED. i had to laugh... the look on his face didn't help suppress my laughter either. then he says, i really wanna hear this song, but i cant cause of my stupid hand. hahah soooo alan.  So i told him i'd play it for him!! Nobody told me how long RAMBLING MAN by THE ALLMAN BROTHERS is!! oh geez! That was my first encounter with Alan.

We went on our first "date" on the twentieth of February, 2009. Well, it was not really a date! I happened to be friends with a couple of Alan's friends,  and they invited me over for a birthday party! Well, after playing poker for several hours, we all decided we would go to Denny's in Tremonton! it was past 1 a.m. at this point. Since I had been talking to Alan all night,  i decided i would go with him! I didn't really even know him that well! I just knew that he was a gentleman, he was funny, and he was a pretty relaxed guy! and cute!!! :) :) Well, we stayed there until about 4:30 a.m. if i remember right! (yes, he payed for my breakfast, and opened every door for me) got back to my car at about 5:30. WOW! good thing i had to work at 7 a.m.! i'm pretty sure i just got ready for work when i got home. That's where it all started! He has continued to be a gentleman. He treats me so amazingly! and I am the luckiest girl! I can't wait to start our lives together!!
